We do a modified postal match of sorts. We didn't really have an Air rifle category, but we might have enough members with them that we could start one.
The general rules are:
1. Contests are set up in two categories. Pistol and rimfire rifles. (Maybe air rifles for a 3rd?)
1a. Handguns can be any caliber, but no optics with magnification.
1b. Rimfire rifles can be restricted to irons only, telescopic sights only, or "run what ya brung."
2. Max distance for rifles is 100y.
2a. Max distance for pistols is 15y.
3. Scoring is obviously on the honor system, but you must post a picture of the target with a measuring device to show the group size.
4. In the event of a tie, tightest group wins.
5. Winner sets the rules for the next competition and provides a download able target. New style of targets are required for every new round to prevent resubmits. (Cheating)
A. Category, based on which one it is that you won.
B. Range, target(s), shot count (1,3,5,etc)
C. Shooting position(s)
D. Optics restrictions
E. Any additional requirements within reason. No crazy trick shots. For example; Offhand only, no sling support. Seated but a support bag can be used. Prone but self supported only.
I don't think I missed anything? @ajole shot in a couple of them, so he may remember something I missed.
As far as I'm concerned, you asked so you can set up how the first round goes and we'll try to out shoot you.
