In case any members "behind the iron curtain" need some pre-ban standard capacity magazines:

    5x pre-ban AR-15 magazines

    2x Sanchez Ind.
    2x Center Ind.
    1x Adventureline Mfg.

$30 ($20 HPFF price) a piece or $125 ($100 HPFF price) for all

As far as I can tell its metal peeking through! Haven't been able to get the brownish spots off of them!

I love the ol pre ban stuff but it's racking up quick and I figured someone could use them more than I!

I want some metal mags, m00nzy and Flesh-Bang both were military and say they excell at temperature extremes... but hi-$$ pre-ban stuff is for the Iron Curtain Folks, as you have said! So it's still legal there??? NICE!!! :D

Unfortunately, the iron curtain I live behind removed the pre-ban grandfather clause. I would have to "permanently" pin the mags to hold 10 rounds. Not hard to do with some countersunk blind rivets, which could accidentally get drilled out if the need arises.....

Check the date stamps and manufacturers - you could have some value you didn't even know about!

You're in Oklahoma, not one of the mag ban areas.

Disassemble, degrease, and boil for 5 min. in distilled water.

Kirk's boiling trick worked wonders! Still a bit of rust on the Sanchez mags but I'm sure a bit more boiling will clear that right up! ImageUploadedByHi-Point Forum1426641718.053952.jpg

You may have to "card" the spots with some 000 or 0000 steel wool.

I read somewhere that this is the exact trick that Field Armorers used in WWII when Parkerized frames and receivers started rusting beneath the park. Degrease and boil. :)

I used to clean all my mags with aircraft cleaning solvent when I was in the Marines . It worked very well in removing any oil or contaminants and left them looking like brand new
