Some here might remember that I traded my Armscor M200 and Armscor 1911GI FS to help fund my Ruger SR1911 and my SP101. Make no mistake, I have no displeasure in the purchase of the Ruger’s, but I was always put out with myself for getting rid of the M200 and the 1911.

Today at the LGS I spied a RIA M200 in the display case. I told the owner that the M200 and the RIA 1911 GI model were two of my favorites in days past and it was a shame that she did not have the 1911. But I do, she says.

I brought the M200 home today, I will bring the 1911 home next week. Life is good!

I thought this was going to be about your wife...
It probably should have been. She is back in the hospital again. Fluid around her heart again. She should come back home maybe Thursday.

This has been a rough road. And we are told it’s going to take a while.

One piece of good news is that she is finally eating real food pretty regular again.

And just so you folk don’t not think I am a total azz. She actually sent me to the LGS. I mentioned that I wanted the long slide Ruger American Competition, she told me to go and order it.

Wow, that's a great story all around!
Glad for your wife, this is about 2 weeks old but hoping she's still on the right track...

Rare that one can reverse a regrettable sale or trade that easily!

I have 3 of the 4.
All great guns. I have multiple Ruger 1911s and an SP-101 in .357 and some RIA “Armscor” 1911s one being the GI model. Never had any major malfunctions with any of them. They run like sewing machines.
The only one that eludes me is the M200

I am a Ruger Fanboi. I only have the one SR1911, but I have SP101’s in 357, 327, and 22 LR. I judge my Semi Autos by the Colt 1911 and the Smith & Wesson model 10. I think the Ruger’s are their equal - maybe just a bit better!

The Armscor pistols / revolvers are not the equivalent at least in fit and finish, but functionally they are 100%. These are working guns, and are my DDC. The Ruger’s come out when I want to rub on them or play with them at the range. I do have a SBH 44 magnum That is my big game / feral pig hunting go-to and a Single Six that is my small game choice, along with a Bearcat that is my Kit Gun.

The RIA XTM-22 has become my favorite carry piece. It has had the obligatory 500 rounds that Armscor says you need for the break in period. It did have some growing pains, fail to feed / extract and some light strikes, but give it what it likes to eat and it runs just fine. It likes the heavier projectiles better. Fits perfectly in the MTR Custom Leather pancake style holster I had made for my SR1911, as it should seeing that it is based on the platform!

I have always been a fan of the 22 Magnum. The NAA so chambered has been my BUG for almost as long as I remember. And I have taken to carry my PMR30 in my GHB and my CMR 30 as my truck gun. Not a KelTec fanboi, but I really like those two!

How’s your wife doing these days?
She is doing better, much better. She has had another heart attack since I started this thread and had a helicopter ride. Two failed surgeries, one described as a roto rooter, the other was a laser, since then. They finally did a quadruple bypass - which they originally wanted to, but said she would not survive. They said it was a last resort or she was going to spend the last of her days in the hospital.

But she did survive and has been home now on her 5th week. She has 45% heart function which initially worried me but they said 60% function is normal. (I would of thought 100% would be normal). The doc says she will not be running any marathons, but she will be doing all the normal activities that most people do.

She has been having a lot of pain lately. Bones, muscles, nerves and such growing back together, and slept most of the day today. Doc says that it will be a full 8 weeks before she feels better. 3 more to go. She has gotten meaner than a Parris Island drill instructor. I have taken to using Ayeye Mam! and Mam, yes Mam! When I address her. Hoping that goes away when the pain goes away. The Doc warned that when the nerves reattach it is normal for folk to get emotional.

Thank you for asking.
