This is my last post from this, soon to be, my former home. I have to get everything disconnected so the movers can pack it up. I will be in the hotel for the next 12 days, so I will have internet, I am not gone for good.

It feels kinda weird, but it's something to look forward to, that next adventure. I'll be back on later guys, and I'll let you know before I head towards Alaska.

Nice, I loved Alaska. Currently going to school in Oregon and would love to move back, but wife doesn't want to take our son too far away from his family.

The only thing that kinda pissed me off is the house we've been talking to the Realtor about for over 3 months was just "Leased" out from under us from the home owner to a renter. So, if we want to buy that house, we'll have to buy the lease as well and won't be able to move in for another year. Eff' THAT! So, we're back to square one with a house, but we have a few other options, so we'll see what happens.

That's the thing with real estate. I am not physically there right now, so I can't exactly tell the home owner that I am going to do this or that without money in hand. Once I get there in 3 weeks, then I'll be in a postion where I can do more than I can from here, 4,100 miles away. Ya snooze, ya lose. I didn't snooze, but I still lost this awesome house.

Dude rent up here. The market flexes almost constantly. Better off renting for a while till you decide eaxcly were you wanna be. By the way drive slow and cautious. Also you will be pleased to know that this is one of the warmest falls we have ever had. There still isnt any snow on the ground other then in the mountians. Are you driving through Canada or taking the ferry???

Well, since I plopped down $3,165.00 for a 3 day ferry ride, I think that's how I'm getting there, only I am getting off in Haines and driving to Anchorage from there....

As far as renting goes, there is no fucking way in mother fucking hell I will EVER rent a house, ever again, even if it's on base. If it's not mine, I don't need it, I have several tents, the wife will get used to it.... eventually.

The above statement may seem funny, but I assure you, I am NOT kidding.

Tent living in Alaska.....sounds like a good time to me man!! Seriously, be safe and take lots of pictures, that's one place my wife and I always talk about going. Enjoy the journey and keep us posted!
