Has anyone had success with installing Picatinny side rails on the 4595TS? As I see it the obstacle is finding the extra long screws that go completely through the forend cover. Also I believe it may require a rail that is tapped because the Weaver rails sold by Hi-Point are supposedly threaded.

    Any ides?

Why not just use the HP ones made for it?

Because the three accessories I have will not fit on a Weaver rail.

Even though the HP rails are called picatinny rails, they are actually proprietary to HP's accessories. I have had great success with my Dremel.

    Thanks!

I was hoping to avoid tweaking the existing rails and just replace them. Replacing the lower rail is no problem because it appears to have standard screws and mounting. Its the side rails that are the issue because of how they mount.
