Ha ha. I misread the question too and voted yes. Meant to say NO!

There's a ton of rabbits around my moms subdivision; pets that got loose and mated with the wild to form some "big" and numerous bunnies. Stupid suburbanites frown upon me being out there with a pellet gun. Could you imagine the outcry if I showed up with a bad-arse looking HP?

Ha ha.

It is fine to control the population or keep the animals from eating your crops in your field, or food in your garden. I now have a vendetta with the squirrels in my yard. They ate all my corn. Fine. Then they ate all of my tomatoes. SOBs. Then they ate my watermelon. Time to die. It wouldn't be that big of a deal, but I rarely buy any produce during the summer. I try to grow as much as I can by myself. Oh, and I'm just using a BB gun. A .22 or shotty might be a little overkill for a squirrel.
A BB gun is UNDERKILL on anything. :naughty: The LEAST I will use is a daisy 880 with pointed pellets. And the step up is a .22 Long rifle.

my little sister had pet rabbits that got lose and now their numbers went from 2 to 50 i use my high point 40 carbine for population control. ha ha fun any one want a fur or a live rabbit. ill post pics Tommoro. i have to take head shots bc the 40 s&w round destorys bone structure and rips them in half and messes up the fur. I find a 22lr is better for fur taking but not as fun.

ps: this may sound in humane but i live on a 50 ace farm and they destory crops like its dooms day.
40 cal may be a bit overkill. Where are you at? Maybe we can arrange for some help!!! :D

I used to hunt till i was about 21, then something happened and i now enjoy just watching them. But we need hunters to keep down the Pop. a bit, which in turn prevents disease, ect. So im all for it, I just choose not to.

The only problem with 'putting up a fence this day in age" is #1 it is a liability. The neighbor's curious little johnny tries to scale your fence and breaks his face, its YOUR arse....and #2 it doesnt solve the problem!! If the fence KILLED rabbits, I would build 5 of them, but although it may prevent them from being a niusnace to YOU, your neighbors will hate you for making your problem THEIR problem!!! Just shoot them...its cheaper and a whole lot more efficient than building a friggin' fence around everything in your yard!!! Plus, how aesthetically pleasing are your trees and flowers after being wrapped with chicken wire or tin??? Trust me man...shoot them...its actually a LOT of fun!!!

Wait, I'm supposed to put up a fence high enough that the squirrels cant get over it? You do realize that quirrels are great climbers, doncha? Or Do I en-cage my house like I'm holding a WWF cage match? Wont that attract prepubescent ********? These critters should be out chasing down some fresh meat for dinner like all mammals do, not eating plastic.

If this isint Darwinisim at work......

I mean, C'Mon, if god didnt want us to eat animals, then why did he make them out of Meat?

If you don't like hunting don't post on a hunting thread .. That would be my contention... I don't like certain things that are posted on many of the forums I frequent and I just don't post in many cases as it would not add to the discussion...

IMOP
