As compared to putting any other recoil reducing muzzle device on a heavy ass, blowback action, 9mm PCC?

I don't have any experience with the 995, but it did have a slight positive impact on my 4595. And....it looks great!
These sharp "razor" muzzle brakes are used with shotguns for breaching wooden doors. Is that the intent with carbines? I guess you could use them to jab a bad guy in the eye if you run out of ammo.

No, Hi Point sells these razor brakes. It's not the longer bodied, door breacher style you're envisioning with spikes/teeth that serve an actual purpose. This is more... in the spirit of... than anything.
