I live 3 hours from Moab.
If you ever decide to go there, do it in spring, or late fall. They do a major thing called the Jeep Safari over Easter, huge crowds, people lined up to ride the trails.
There's the 4X4 stuff, and there's mountain bike stuff for the young granola eating crowd.
It's a tourist trap...but it's amazing.
That's the famous "Hot Tub" during the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab Utah . I've been there many times in a couple Jeeps I've owned and the Hot Tub is one of the funniest obstacles there besides Potato Salad hill
Last time I was there you could still drive up Lions back !!
Too many folks drove off the edge.
No, actually, a developer owns the rights, and no one can go there anymore.
Been some famous video from that, one where a girl loses brakes on the way down...
Got married in Moab in '87. Most of my friends from SLC had become river rats down there. Was a central meeting point for people coming from all over the country.
