Anyone here have recent experience with the pro mag 15-Rd magazines? My local shop endorsed them today by saying buy a new one cause they've fixed all the old problems.

Right now I just have the one it came with so looking at getting more. Thanks in advance.

I had a 14 rndr. For my 4595 and never had a problem.I always kept it loaded ,and slapped the bottom and back against my hand to "wrack"the shells in place.

When loading them it's a 2 thumb deal. push down the back of the round to make sure it doesn't nose dive each time you insert a round.

The 45 mags work good in the pistols too

go back in your hole mole I see you went back to work for a short while. :stir:

The 2 for the 4595 work like you would expect a mag to work without issue. Fell confident in the mags for home defense. Or could grab the PPS43C with a 35rd mag of 7.62X25. Just love that 30cal rd.:p
One of the 2 for the 995ts will jam every time. Will give Promag a call one of these days to see what they will do.

Is it nose diving? Are you counting the rounds? If I don't I load 16 and that it when I have had a problem.

I have a .40 mag I changed to the factory HP follower. IIRC it will feed 16. I will have to revisit that soon.

That had been a "fix" for the older crappy 995 ProMag.
Worked for some. IMO the feed lips are the culprit. At
least the one I have. Also could fix LRHO issues w/Promag.
Seems like it could be springs also. A good +10% would help,
but it would prolly have to be from a 1911 mag, no HP versions made

At best, it looks like a 50/50 chance of success? I spent over $200 a few years ago on several BNIB different promag magazines for several different guns. NOT a single one of the magazines worked in any of the guns, Taurus, HP, or Beretta. They were just JUNK!
I will NEVER buy another one!

On the other hand, I have had perfect results
with my wide assortment of ProMags, in these:

    1. M&P9 (4 different 17 rd standard mags)
    2. Marlin 795 in 22lr (3 - 25 rd extended mags)
    3. Beretta 96 (2 - 20+ rd extended mags)

The one 995 ProMag I have was a complete FAIL!
But it is the older generation. Got it from Panoz77 for cheap!

Nose diving. Counted the rds and tried fewer rds with the same result. Believe the spring is not strong enough. Did not see any burrs on the follower. Or dimension of the mag box interior is not to spec. Too tight. Or the follower is too wide. Feed lips maybe. Or a combination of errors. I'll look into some more. on range day there is nothing worse than mucking around with the equipment. Marked it bad and moved on.

Most recent pro-mag experience: i remembered they suck and didn't waste money again to prove it once again. (and not just in Hi Points, they make a crappy product across the board).

I don't have a lot of experience, but what little I have had was good. Two mags for my BT380, and my brother has one for his LCP. They all work fine.

Hopefully "Trashy-B" will be back to help by then
He has had excellent luck substituting HP followers and WOLFF +15%
Springs into all of his ProMag Extended Hi Point mags, it's not cheap
but he gets an extra one or two rounds out of it for like $20-$30 more
on each mag  ;)     ;););)

Ya that's a great deal right there since the HP mags work just fine as is.
