How is the red dot rail attached? Is that rail a factory thing?

Not factory. Its a rail that replaces the factory sights and is for sale on Ebay from SQD_DRP. I bought the rail and RMR as a set from him. The rail is made for all HP pistols. I had it on my JCP, but the JXP has a longer distance between the mount holes so only one bolt can be use, Holds great even with one bolt due to the large block on the rear of the rail that fits tightly into the original sights space, Here is a pic of the JCP compared to the JXP.
