The one that YOU can use most effectively because it's a matter of personal choice. There is no one red dot that will turn you in to a member of the Miculek family.

As far as a cowitness goes, maybe. What type? True, lower ⅓, FS only? Depends on what RDS you buy and how tall it is...

Did you bother looking at any of the 458 threads that mention red dots? Probably not...

Welcome aboard. How the RD comes set up from the manufacturer is a personal choice. A micro will offer less FOV and many, depending on cost will normally come with a tall (usually called a AR15 mount) and also a very short mount that sits low to the gun rail. A 30mm or 32mm RD will come with a mid mount that might give a co-witness, and if you want a 1/3 witness, you might need a 1/4 to 1/2" riser to make that work.

Hi-Point carbines are an odd animal in how the iron sights work with most red dots to setup like an AR15 in which has a huge following in how most people set their RD's up to work as a more military weapon, but there's lots of members here, that if you went to the Optics area of forum, you'd find your answer from those who set their carbines up and what it took.

Myself, due to how long the rear sight mount is made, you will probably need to cut off the front half of sight due to how short the mount rail is, so giving you that fact, you might want to change your way of whether you want iron witnessing to the RD or just using the RD alone. But both options are doable with a little bit of thought.
