do they make that in a .22 also? I saw they had the .22 597s on the shelf still. So whats the problem with the guns?

I just checked the remmington support site and there is only a recall on the 710....the 597 is definitely just a .22 platform....The model Five is .17

As I stated in another post on this thread, my Walmart has a 597 in .22 and its still on the shelves.
