I have a 514 [22 short, Long, LR] that I bought new in 1955. I think I paid $8.95, but I was only 11 at the time. I carried it everywhere for several years. Back then no one gave it a second thought. The gun is original and in very good to excellent condition. Does anyone have any idea what it might be worth? It hardly fits in with my 9mm arsenal.

I have one of those rifles my dad got when he was 10 or so. They aren't worth much unless you find someone that's really into collecting those old boy's single shots. Generally they run about $100 or so in excellent condition. If I were you though, I'd just keep it unless you are in dire need of money. They are good .22s and mine is really freaking accurate with that super long barrel they have.
No, I don't need the money - I was just curious. It looks out of place with my two 995's and eight 9mm pistols. I found it cleaning out my mother's house when she died a couple of years ago. It hasn't been fired in fifty years, but after I last used it, I had oiled it and plugged both ends of the barrel with paper towels. Basically, it looks like new inside and out.

Thanks,
O'Dell
