remove powdercoat and polish slide how ????

    I want to have my slide polished but I don't want to mess it up. what steps should I take ? ant advice would help . I think hi points look great polished.

    for the love of god, do NOT use a dremmel! Use a very fine sand paper and take your time. You may consider using scotchbright. There's this other stuff that's used to clean tire rims. I'll have find it, but it's like a cotton wad with a very fine abrasive in it. I used it to polish the underside of my ak bolt.smooth as silk now.

    But if you do decide to do this, just take your time.

    Edit: When you take the powder coat off, you will need to pay attention and keep the metal clean, so it doesn't rust.

    Something like that, yeah. It did a beautiful job on the bolt of my AK. Night & day difference between when it was coated & now that it's polished. It glides over the hammer, as it's cycling.
