Revised warranty?

Discussion in 'General Hi-Point Discussion' started by Merle, Feb 6, 2015.

  1. Greetings,

I read in another forum that HP was going (or has) revised the warranty to be "limited the original purchaser - with proof of retail purchase", or words to that effect. I had not seen anything here about that, so wonder if I just missed the boat - or what?

    Not that I know off.
But that doesn't mean anything as I usually get told last.
But the rumor does rear it's ugly head a couple of times a year.
I think we're good as that is one of the main reasons why people by a HiPoint.

  3. OK, thanks. I figured if there was anything to it that folks here would know. :)

Well, I'm good just the same. I bought mine NIB, and damn sure don't want to get rid of them.

  5. Me too, but I'm not at all sure I can come up with the bill of sale. :(

  6. Me too. I believe I could go back to retailer and get some proof of purchase, FFL records?

Just to be on the safe side, my 995 is going in this week. Bolt locks back after last round and I have to take it apart to get it loose. Unless I want to whack the charging handle with a hammer, which doesn't strike me as a good idea.

We've had several cases of the 'bolt freeze' on the forum.
    Mom will fix it.
