kits for the LC380! Lets a LC380 owner use 9mm, turning it into a LC9 basicly. Why don't they offer the other way around too?

2nd the CA thing, its the only Ruger semi pistol on the 'LIST'. Still, I really like my LC380.

yes, they do other crazy things there like sell pistols as single shots and then after purchase put the correct parts in them to have a semi-auto. 300.00 might be cheap to get a new LC9 out there.

So they don't sell the LC9 in CA otherwise?

No. Because of the overlord style California "approved" list, Ruger's only CA legal semi automatic is the LC380. The LC9's slide and barrel sold as a parts kit can probably skirt the law, until California decides to make conversions illegal too. Remember, the real goal of California's laws are to ban guns in any way possible. It wouldn't surprise me if the "conversion loophole" is one of their next targets.

Makes more sense then. You can buy a LC9 for less than $300 otherwise.
