It's a great shooting pistol. Mine was a pre recall that Ruger did a fantastic job of updating. Was very pleased with the gun for the most part. If it had not been for one problem I would still have it.

Hope you get a good one.

great value, i love mine. Very well made and never gave me an issue.

How many rounds do you have through yours now. Did the slight peening on your barrel get any worse?

I still want to get another one. But after the severe peening problems I had on two barrels. And the slight peening you noticed on yours. I'm still not convinced it's fixed. Keep looking and handling one every time I go into Vances. I like the P95 but really want another SR9. Just not willing to waste $400 again on something that might need a new barrel after 1K rounds in 2-3 months.

I put about 100 rds through mine and I haven't noticed it getting much worse, I mean it still functions ok and everything so idk, I'm keeping an eye on it though. Took it to my gun store and he has an SR9 also and doesn't seem to think I should worry about it. I might just take a file and smooth it out, but a part of me honestly wishes I got the P95, I mean I'd lose 2 rounds of capacity but it's abit more proven and I prefer a SA/DA trigger over the SR9's.

Glad to hear the peening isn't getting worse.

Funny you should mention the P95 also. I keep checking it out every time too. I don't mind loosing 2 rounds. Plus it's only $289.99 at my LGS.
The only thing is the SR9 just fits better in my hand.

Atleast I have my C9's now until I decide to get another 9mm. But they have been getting quite a workout.

Yeah, I'll take it out next, I have some handloads I got off a guy at the club, 124g cast bullets loaded up pretty warm, if anything will make that barrel get worse it'll be them, short of shooting +P I'd amagine. It's so slight on my gun though that I had to really point it out to the gunshop when I took it up there. I'd take a picture but I'm not even sure it would show up on my camera phone. I dig the P95 though, if I could find one here for 289 I'd pick one up prolly. I'd of prolly GOT it instead of the SR9 but here SR9's are 400 and P95s are 359. Not that great of a deal...

I picked my SR9 up at noon today and just got back from the range, 200 rounds downrange and a pleasure to shoot.
I got it out the door including taxes and NIC, with 3 magazines for $429.

I got the green with the black stainless slide. The one with the shiny stainless slide was actually cheaper but I did not like that at all.
I would have preferred all black but they had none of those in stock and I wanted it today so I would have time to shoot it.
I don't care if it is green and black anyhow, this isn't going to be for show but as my primary EDC. Scuffed, scraped, green, as long as it shoots. I'm actually waiting for the first scuff or scrape, if a gun doesn't show some wear and tear then it's not being used.

It's a pleasure to shoot, recoil is hardly felt, the ergonomics are nice, capacity is great, price was good and field stripping is a breeze.

Yeah I love mine, I got some slight slide bite on my thumb knuckle first time I shot it, I was having so much fun I didn't notice till my buddy was like "hey yer bleeding" and looked down and had blood on my hand. I sucked it off and kept shooting lol. Idk what to think about the trigger, I mean I can handle it fine it just feels slightly gritty to me almost but i'm sure that'll smooth out with time but over all I don't mind it. It's better then on my dang sigma lol

I looked at the SR9 and the P95 at the same time. I ended up getting the P95, I just liked the way it felt in my hand and the DA/SA trigger is just something that I would prefer. The P95 was $100 cheaper although that really wasn't a factor at the time. Still want the SR9 eventually though.

I'm lovin it!

A great shooter, easy to maintain and reliable.
I had her out agin this morning, another 50 rounds to sight her in (last time I was just shooting to test function and reliability). I also ran a box of hollow points (HydraShoks) through her.
