It's been 20 + years since I lived in the Puget Sound area so I don't know if they still are but at the time scones were all the rage at the Washington State Fair held in Puyallup.
Scones
I decided I wanted to try making scones this weekend.
They turned out fantastic. I got up early on Sunday and made the "dough." My son got up and helped shape, flatten, cut, bake, and made the glaze.
Basically, they're just triangle shaped baking powder biscuits with sugar and (a lot) more butter.
