I have a Mauser that I need to ship off. The guy told me to put it in a box and ship it USPS Priority (is that legal?). The problem is that I have no gun boxes. I tried making one and it was a complete FAIL. Is there somewhere I can buy boxes for shipping rifles?

Thanks!

The PO has some Trangle ones...they have 2 sizes. Short and long ones. You might have to take the barrel off the gun to make shorter. As far as shipping USPS...I do.

If you have an "Office Supply" store near check with them..I saw a catalog at work that had gun boxes. I'd suggest FedX or UPS for gun shipments though..but that's me.

When I shipped back my 995, I went to the dollar store and asked if they had any boxes. She told me to go ahead in the back and look and I found one that fit perfectly. Just like Kripps idea, Lgs would be a good bet though.

Just to add my .02 in, I have used boxes that laminate flooring came in. They are usually 48" long and can be shortened if needed. It is usually fairly thick cardboard as well for protection. USPS is who I use to ship my C&R stuff as well.
