ok so yesterday i was using a dremel with a cutting wheel and a i think a small piece of the cutting wheel is stuck in the brown part of my eye. i was using a magnifying glass and a mirror and could see this small object stuck in my eye. i tried flushing it with water but it is embedded in my eye and it hurts when i close my eye which is keeping me from sleeping.so should i go to the eye doc. or just wait it out.

Um dude I think you better get your pirate self into the doc ASAP, things in the eye usually do not resolve themselves.

I don't how much it will cost but an infection will cost much much more. Go to an Er or a free clinic. And in the future remember, satety glasses are cheap insurance. Much cheaper than medical insurance premiums or er visits. Take care of it and remember in the future to take care of it before an accident by wearing safety gear.

It won't be cheap, medical bills aren't, but any hospital that receives government funds has to treat you, they'll just bill you later. And my local hospital is actually pretty good at setting up payment plans with people.

And I would go to the ER, it'll probably have to be surgically removed.

If you can wait another 4~12 years, I will have M.D. after my name. I would be able to take of that for you.

Anywho, I've had many a foreign matter in my eyes. Inlcudiding carbide material. Depening on how it's lodged in there, they will pull, grind, or drill it out. It's scary because you can see them drilling on you eye, but weird because you can't feel anything. They're like "I need you to NOT move you eye while I'm drilling on it"

I kept trying to close my eye, and lost a feel eye lashes in the process....

DON'T BE STUPID!! GO NOW EYE DR,ER, OR WHEREVER!!!! I almost lost my left leg in 2004 because I cut it on a metal stair and it got infected. They told me if I had waited one more day they would have had to amputate it. The infection was so close to the bone it was hit or miss. As it was I was out of work from Dec04 till Apr 05 due to it. And because of such a severe infection it caused my blood pressure to go high it caused my heart to enlarge and now I have to take meds for that as well.

sorry i havent posted but ive been sleeping so i dont use my eye. went to the er this morning and the doc. remover the piece of metal with a needle which didn't hurt and i do have a rust ring. have to go to an eye doc. tomorrow but my eye already feels much better, but im still gonna go to the doc. just to be safe.

i also will always make sure to wear glasses when using my dremel or bench grinder seeing as ive had a lot of metal particles go in my eye but this was the first to actually penetrate and get stuck and hopefully the last.

also just wanna thank everyone, if i hadnt seen the thing in my eye with a magnifying glass i wouldnt have asked if i need to go to the doctor and would have been 3-4 days before i would go so thanks you guy saved me alot of pin and possible blindness. :)
