These look interesting.

Now I just need to find some reasonably priced Baby Browning magazines.

Good luck.
Adequate mag from TripleK: $42. www.triplek.com/product/browning-baby-25acp-6-rd/
Best mag from PSA: $47. www.precisionsmallarms.com/NICKEL-PLATED-CARBON-STEEL-MAGAZINE-ROUNDED-FOLLOWER.html

I've got both and IMO the PSA is worth the extra $5.
You can find used Bauer mags out there but they can be iffy.
I have seen some TripleK on GB that are a bit cheaper. But will probably just go with PSA, since I finally acquired one (although it is currently in pieces, not sure what, if anything, is missing). Also picked up a Baby Browning awhile ago, really like it. Getting close to 500 rounds. Need to paint the front sight, it is so tiny! LOL!

What's up with 25 ACP magazines? Raven and Phoenix Arms HP25 seem to be pretty easy to get. But Baby Browning and JA-25 ($30+) magazines are difficult to find and expensive.

And still on the hunt for a 25 ACP derringer. The last few on GB have sold for crazy money. And the "Buy Now" ones are crazy money.

Baby Browning magazines have always been pricey compared to everything else. MecGar used to sell magazines directly for Baby Browning/Bauer/PSA, but they've stopped selling them. I think it's because the Baby Browning market is fairly small. When I look at the PSA mags, they sure look like a MecGar product.

MecGar introduced a significant improvement in the magazine follower design. The original FN design was flat, but what MecGar designed was rounded. It made a huge improvement in how rounds fed into the chamber, so much so that Browning adopted it.

I've mucked about with different magazines and found some early EIG/FIE/Excam Titan .25 mags that fit nicely in the Baby's magwells. I cut a small notch in the back of the mag for the mag catch, and presto I have a 7+1 Baby.

Yeah it could probably be snuck in somewhere. May be more useful in barter.
Bartering. As in the end of world? In reality most of the old and sick will die in the first year but more likely 6months.

The projos that Buffalo Bore used for this 60 grain loading are available from the OEM. I load them for my various .25s and they cycle just fine, even through Ravens. I can't speak to the safety of firing the Buffalo Bore loading through ZAMAK handguns, but I can testify that the geometry of the projectile hasn't been an issue for feeding/cycling. Just my two cents.

I was wondering about that myself. I guess if I was going to give it a whirl, I'd test with a Raven (with new recoil and f/p springs installed) rather than with a Bryco/Jennings J-25 or a Sundance. Raven's were pretty well engineered for what they were. I definitely would NOT try Buffalo Bore thru a Lorcin L-25, for no other reason than I don't trust Jim Waldorf.

My guess would be 2 months.
All the "professional preppers" (prepping marketing peeps) are saying 3 days, but imo that's a scare tactic to motivate the "buyers". I'm kinda between yours and Moonzy's time line, fwiw. 2-6 months.
3 days, maybe in the big cities, OK. But us rural folks, even the non-preppers, should last a good bit longer.
Collecting the spent brass is a pain as well.
I now have an ENORMOUS TARP from a burn out job a friend did, he wrecked a burnt house. Tarp was left afterwards and he said I could have it. It's prolly around 20ft on the short side... I'm thinking I'll spread it out, and after a session just lift the corners and collect brass very quickly :geek:
