Sorry folks...

I got rid of my 2 High Points C9's today and picked up a BNIB Taurus SS Model 85. These C9's were nice, but a lot of folks out there seem to have a lot of issues. I lost confidence.

Sorry...

What?

I only had issues with my C9 because it was used when I bought it and completely worn out. I sent it in and Hi Point will take care of it. Whats there to be unhappy with?

Did you have issues with your C9? Did you contact Hi Point on the issue if there was one?

I respect your choice to trade them in.

You have to be happy with your purchases.
Good Luck with your Taurus. I had "issues" with my Taurus PT99 when I purchased it new years ago, but after I got them worked out it has been a good reliable firearm ever since.

Yep, even a Taurus can had issues as any firearm can. But HP seems to have the best warranty repair service if any problem arises being the firearm or user modify the cause.

Bet you paid a lot more $$$$ for the Taurus.
wow!

you got a deal, Last I checked BNIB Taurus SS Model 85 ran about $365. you can get NIB High Point C9 for about $160, so if they were used, good deal!

I feel your frustration.
I have (2) HP 9MM (2) .40 and (2) .45 pistols. All new. One of the 9MM just flat refused to operate. Jam Jam Jam. Polished feed rams...adjusted mag lips....changed ammo....nothing...Jam Jam Jam. I sent it back yesterday to the factory. The other 5 pistols shoot just fine.
I am convinced there is such as thing as bad karma :) and it possessed that lil 9MM for sure. See if the boys at the home office can sprinkle some holy water on it.
GEE!! You just proved to the world the TRUE value of a HI POINT!! 2 C9's for 1 Taurus. Must be 3 or 4 HI POINTS for 1 Glock :D
SHOOTER Z, +1 on that!!! ;)

BTW, I will never get rid of my HPs.
stormypenny, take a look at taurusarmed.net and go to the taurus complaints section. If you wanted to go from one brand that people complained about to one that people didn't complain about.. you definitely chose the wrong brand. I personally have nothing against taurus. good luck.
There is nothing wrong with going in another direction. Part of the deal with Hi Points in my opinion is that they can be used as an entry level firearm.
Oh if you care to, post your experiences good and bad with your C9s. I'm sure those considering the pistol would want to hear details about what problems you might have had, and whatever issue that caused you to want to try another pistol.
