But since it's a .22LR, at least it choots cheap! It's ugly and it ain't cheap.
Get rid of that uglyassed slide, and it wouldn't look insanely hideous....It's ugly and it ain't cheap. https://globalordnance.com/grand-po...-79832316&mc_cid=8d65c0840f&mc_eid=edabc25ed1![]()
That is rather crazy on the price isn't it?But then it'd look, well, ordinary.
And "ordinary" simply doesn't command an inflated price tag.
Personally I don't care for the slide. But can't say the price is out of line either. I paid that for my GSG 1911/22 with aftermarket slide and Burris Fastfire. All told the guy put $700+ into it.That is rather crazy on the price isn't it?
My thoughts exactly.:thumbsup:So it looks like they started with a real gun in 9mm then had to cut the hell out of that slide to get it to cycle with a .22lr
Same page shows a 9mm that looks pretty similar.

That looks like a Beretta slide on a polymer frame.View attachment 68361
I looked this gun up. It looks like it started out as this before it got uglyized.

$2.17 per slide with the highest tolerance, smoothest surface, most complex geometry, 6x2x2 envelope with 75% fill, using ZA-8, since they didn't have 3 and I didn't want to play with the slides. Here's a Die Casting Cost Estimator:

How much you estimate the production cost of a Hipoint handgun to be?$2.17 per slide with the highest tolerance, smoothest surface, most complex geometry, 6x2x2 envelope with 75% fill, using ZA-8, since they didn't have 3 and I didn't want to play with the slides.
Depends on how fast you need to amortize start up costs, and what you pay your help. How much you estimate the production cost of a Hipoint handgun to be?
$35-$40?
