Alright. I've had my last dealing with sportsmansguide...ever!

I ordered some 7.62x39. During my 6 month wait for the stuff to come in, my credit card expired. I decided that a money order would be the best way to go and told them it would take me 2 or 3 weeks to get the funds together. The lady said that it would be fine and she would mark to keep the order on hold. I get the money together and get the MO sent out. Some days go by and I hear nothing, so I contact them about the order. Apparently they canceled it without so much as an email. So, I sent the MO on the 17th and they claim that they haven't got it yet so they won't give me a refund. I don't know what to do about it. I seriously doubt that the MO hasn't gotten to SG yet, and I think that they are just bending me over and raping me out of $212.70.

I'm so freaking angry with them, never again will I have ANYTHING to do with Sportsmansguide. As far as I'm concerned, that company can burn in hell.

EDIT:
FJKD:JKFJ:SDJAKFJ:[email protected]$I#I!!!!!!!

I called MoneyGram and the pieces of crap cashed the money order last week. They are definitely trying to **** me!

DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH THIS UNETHICAL, THIEVING COMPANY!!!!

Dude Chill thats why you never use a money order to buy anything, and if you have to you get delivery confirmation through the US Post office so you can confirm if they got it. When ever dealing with mailing that amount of money you always get tracking i mean always, I have never had a problem with SG or any other supplier but then again I always use a credit or debit card...I would not just give up keep calling

Everything that I order...I get. They are great to me. I noticed that you stated that you had to get the money for the item, seems that you took too long and they was not going to wait on you. Please don't jump on me. I'm just stating that they are(SMG) are running a business not a layaway. I always thought it was first come, first served.

Yeah it took a while to get the money together, but they said they were holding it for me is what ticked me off. If I just didn't pay I wouldn't expect for the item to stay on hold for a long period of time, but they told me they were holding it.

After a lot of emails they've agreed to pay the charges to have the MO photocopy faxed to me ($24) and said they will refund all my money along with the MO photocopy charges after I fax them the photocopy and some other info they requested.

Will update this as time goes along, but I'm still never going to buy from them again.

Always use a credit card for online orders and phone in orders as then you can dispute the transaction if it goes south... not trying to bust chops just sayin for the benefit other members.

The crappy thing about my credit card (which was recently stolen) is that out of state charges can't be disputed.
Get a better card.. I have never heard of such a thing... I have disputed several internet transactions that were with companies in CA and had no problem.

I faxed in the information they required and they say that there is a check on the way with a refund of my money and to cover the cost of the money order. Will notify if/when I receive it. I'll be glad when this is over.

I got that card when I was 17, so it has all kinds of restrictions on it (you have to be 19 to get a for realz card in AL). I think I will negotiate for a better card with my bank after this crap.

???6 month wait??? Surely they had to of notified you at some point that it was placed on back order. I realize you were upset but it's definitely not their fault if your credit card expired by the time the back order was filled.

Sportsman's Guide Rules! Generally, they have the best prices on everything. I've been ordering from them for over ten years now and have never had a problem (knock on wood). It's safe to say that this was just a freak accident, one time deal.

I've had trouble with them for the last 3 things I've bought.

And yeah I knew the item was backordered, but they told me it would be one month, not 6. Regardless of whether or not I can save $2 on an item I won't buy from them anymore. Never again will my IP address grace their site with it's presence.

Years ago I ordered a flash suppressor for my AK. I don't know what they sent me but it would not fit. They admitted that they had substituted and told me to send it back. After an arguement, they agreed to reimburse my cost for sending it back as it was clearly their fault. Turns out that they only refund what it costs THEM to ship an item. I don't have the agreement with UPS that they do. I was only out a few bucks but the bad taste remains in my mouth.

So far I have not had any bad results from them. Some orders put on hold yes, but then for the price I am not complaining. Just ordered 1,000 7.62X39 for $284 with proposed Delivery date of June 14th.

Never again from sportsmans. I've had several ammo orders in the past where I was charged almost double when finally shipped. Fought for months with them, then the agnecy they use. Oh and a heads up- the collection agency they use likes to violate the FDCPA so it's not too hard to clear your name!!
