Ok, so I'm bored.
I stippled my backstraps on my M&P's and it looks cool and it makes a big difference in grip. So much so, I don't use a grip on top of the gun (i.e. the Newskate Nub). So I'm sitting here wondering what trouble I can get into, and I remember that I never told some of you how I did it - and that was a while ago. So, apologies. AND, this time I did the front strap and a mag extension. Lots of pics, sorry about that.
I used a wood burner, it cost $10 at the hobby shop. I used a slant tip and took my time. You can always press harder and go deeper, so start slow. The M&P comes with three backstraps and one can buy more, so I did the backstrap first, to get the hang of it. After that, it's all about taste.
The front strap I grooved straight across, as that is perpendicular to the way the gun wants to travel when it flips. I've not shot the new work yet, but will soon.
