I was just wondering if anyone besides me has a Stoegers .22 Luger? I purchased mine new in 1973. It was stolen out of my house in the Fall of 1974. 19 & a half years later it ended up in a Pawn Shop in Nashville, TN. (I live in central WV). The pistol showed lots of wear, but still functioned like a champ. I still had the extra mag that came with it. I use it now as the one that came back with the gun was just about worn out. It's hard to tell what stories this firearm could tell in it's 19+ year journey.

This gun still shots a tight group at 50 ft. Not bad for a old "codger" of a pistol. By the way, when this pistol was returned to me the State Police told me that it had set a state record for being the longest time, (at that time), for a stolen gun to be returned to the first time owner.

Anyone else have one of these fine guns?

id would like to see the ATF trackback report on that gun......

SW
When I got the gun back I was told by the State Police that is was sold to a pawn shop in Nashville. The only thing that I was asked was if I had got an insurance settlement on it. I did not and the gun was mine again. The pawn owner ran a check on it and was still listed as stolen by the ser. numbers. I have the report I received when I got it back. It says just about the same as I have told you. I have had it back sense 1993, and hope to keep the old girl for many more years. That is the best I can tell you about it.
