That bag looks an awful lot like one of the Midway brand bags I got a few years ago to carry books while I was back in school after retirement. Carrying a bunch of text books every day is one of the best ways to test the durability of a bag because text books are heavy and have sharp corners.
The bag held up nicely, although the water resistant lining deteriorated from constant stretching and poking, and the fabric at the top of the bag became slightly transparent from the stretching, too. Nothing blew out, though.
I am wondering if Midway and Outdoors Products source their bags from the same manufacturer.
