I was thinking what I could do with my 380 comp to make it a little more versatile because almost everything out there is useing a tactical rail so I fabricated one out of a old broken rail off of a m4 from work. Figured I could recycle it and give it new life. I haven't painted it yet it's getting late and I will finish it tomorrow after work. Just wondering your thoughts. Negative thoughts are good too.
I ground down the rail that was on the comp then I put groves in the tactical rail piece I cut and slid it on with a healthy amount of JB Weld. If the vibration from shooting it knocks it loose then I will take it to my shop at work and braze it on.
I'm with Panoz on this one. Why didn't you extend the rail to the trigger guard? Take off the HiPoint proprietary 'nothing fits' part and go full length.
It's level. No reason to go full length. I'm not going to put a bunch of different tactical crap on it.
Might not look that great but if you plan on running a light then its probably just fine. A laser on the other hand is gonna depend on how stable that rail is.
I'm going to have a finished product sometime tonight. I haven't sanded it and filled holes or anything like that yet. We will se how it turns out when it's complete
So what tactical crap are you planning? You have to attach some kind of tactical crap to your "tactical rail", or what was the point in the first place? Any bets on how many rounds it lasts before it falls off? Tactical rail death poll anyone?
Respect? It looks like crap and is GLUED onto a firearm. If you ask for opinions, you're going to get them. Oh, so sorry, I take everything back since you are a vet. It looks great, awesome
