Ahhhh I have a beard and it can hurt even more for me sometimes, the vibrations open up the crack between the cheek pad and the stock. Thus leaving my beard to get trapped inside, and when I pull the rifle away from my face.....ouch, found the solution though.

Shot my new TS this weekend and noticed a little sting but nothing that bothers me. My buddy has a TS also and he doesn't notice it at all.

I didn't really understand what you guys meant by the sting of the new TS. But after this weekend shooting theqbn's at our Ohio meet I understand now. It's really bizarre, I have two 995's myself one being in the ATI and a classic and I do not have a stinging sensation when I shoot those. If I got one I would definitely cover it with something.

Yep, it definitely has the cheek-sting, but if it bothered me enough I'd just put a mouse pad over it or something.

I suppose YOU were born with a beard already? I've seen women with facial hair so THAT idea just went down the drain.

I have quite the fuzzy face at the moment and it doesn't really help against the sting, so isn't the discussion moot?

I put the factory butt pad on my 995TS and shot at the range today. It noticeably reduced cheek sting.

I still had the tingles going down my legs when I was shooting! LOL!!!
