Sounds like astigmatism. Green or blue dots might help. Chevrons instead of dots are also good.

You can co-witness, so you look through the red dot lens when using your irons.
You can offset the red dot with a 45 degree mount.
You can use a riser to lift the red dot over the irons. Really high risers and chin welds are popular with the guys that use night vision or gas masks.

It is. Plus I have 5 or so baby cataracts in there. Not enough to get surgery on yet. I passed my DOT eye exam in January without glasses.

Iam recovering from cataract surgery on my left eye last week . Having my right eye done April 6th. I barely passed my CDL/DOT eye exam 4 yrs ago. Hopefully it won't be as difficult this coming June.

I met a famous eye doctor at a political event. Ex#3 had surgery from this guy, a woman I was dating 2 years ago had him surgery too. I was checking into having him do mine. Cataracts would have to be done first before the corrective vision. Then a close friend told me how he hacked hers up, redid the surgery and claimed he put in a "lifetime" lens. Still had problems. She went to another surgeon and he told her that the lens was not a lifetime lens.

I really would like to keep my original equipment. Artificial lenses give me pause.

Yeah I had a lens put in. Just the basic lens I guess you can buy different lens depending on the amount you want to spend. They gave me prices from ,this is what insurance pays. Then a 500 each , a 750 ea, a 950 each , then a 1500 each. I ask if I'd notice a difference in the pay out of pocket lens and he said probably not since it's your first surgery and they all last about 15 yrs. And the cataract can come back.

I have a slight astigmatism in my right eye so a red dot looks like it has a line sticking up from a narrower dot when I turn the brightness way down. You have a couple of options under those circumstances. Either crank the dot up bright enough that it stays round, or you can pick a spot on the crescent to use as your aiming point. I use that latter technique.

With your whole anti medical thing going. I'm surprised you haven't tried rubbing male cow milk into them yet. Mole said it works wonders for him.
