Point blank. Back of the head. Joe Pesci style. Is turkey hunting really a thing? Are turkeys around the world significantly smarter than the ones around here? Because we can pretty much walk up to them on the side of the road and kick one of them in the head while the others stand around waiting their turn. Penned chickens are harder to catch.
Really its turkey shooting in the fall. You can call them in in the spring but you want in the fall- they won't come. They're a pest bird in the city and its ridiculous that wa makes you have a small game license and transport tags. Maximum of 4 tags a year. 4 hens or 2 hens 2 toms. No baiting. My buddy that's an outfitter sells dozens and dozens of turkey hunts a year for like $450 a pop. Crazy to me that people will pay that much.
