As some of you are aware, John (GB) was diagnosed with Stage 3A liver cancer back in early June. The targeted treatment program they tried failed to stop the growth of the tumors and the cancer has spread to his lymphatic system and now multiple nodes are involved. Everything is still centralized so they're hoping that IV chemo and immunotherapy will get the job done.

He also spent the last week of December, through New Year and a bit of January in the VA for blocked bile ducts that required shunting. That was likely caused by a flare up of the original bout of pancreatitis that prompted the CT that ended up discovering his cancer.

He's struggling both physically and emotionally and just asked that I give you guys an update on his condition. He's more worried about how this affects his grandchildren than anything else.

Prayers for healing, both physical and emotional. That's all he's asking for.

New treatment starts on the 1st. The original lesion has grown to around 5-7cm.

prayers, that's a pretty big one... when they removed the nerve sheath tumor in my hip it was that long and about 3cm wide. Found it because I had trouble laying on that side, could no longer get down on the floor at work... I got lucky and benign... BUT that type of tumor generally presents in multiple places... last scan of my lower spine showed some small ones we are watching... very slow growing thankfully.
