Now to help people get a general used hi-point price guide I figure we should make one up to see if that ol, jhp .45 is worth $200 used or 100 used.
This is what I paid for my used hi points and new hi point.

    In WISCONSIN

$209 NIB jhp .45 one magazine no hard case
$150 USED jhp .45 with two extra magazines (local pickup today)
    $80 USED C9 one magazine

Now if I were to sell mine (I'm not I love them) I would ask

.45 jhp $150 with custom grips/graphics/laser local pick up
.45 jhp plain with extra mags $150-120
C9 I would start at maybe $100 and go down to $80 of what I paid and I talked the guy to $80 from $100

Now this should be a good baseline for some people when selling there hi point pistols.

Please add what a fair market value of your pistol or carbine is worth and this thread can be used as a buyers/sellers guide for HI-POINT firearms ONLY.

If this thread goes well it could be a great tool or a good failure lol.

Your baseline on prices is solely on whether or not you want to pay the price. If you want to barter on price no problem with that, but to expect people to adhere on a baseline price, because its fair is short of complaining

Lightly used 4595 on armslist in reno. With 150 rounds he's asking 450. How's that for pricing?

If he gets it, good for him. As for me I won't be asking, it's like going to a pawn shop with jacked up prices nearing retail price

That's what I was thinking. I really want a 4595 but he said no haggling. So I think ill wait til I find one more reasonably priced.

I working on another 45 pistol and later 4595. My 995 does well, if I had know about the other calibers I would have gone with 45

I was making this post, because we had a member on here asking $200 for a used hi point jhp .45 the post was to get a baseline of what they are worth. For sellers and buyers.

I know, I saw the post as well, but if you don't like the price. You can't expect someone to lower their price because it's not fair. When ammo became hard to find and prices went up. I didn't expect them to drop their price. I just remember their names and said no to their prices. I remained patience and prepared

I do a lot of looking online at places that sell used guns like Buds Gun shop, and also new ones and go from there.

Then you have those that are no longer made anymore which depending on the buyer may be worth more than the currently available models. Like MY C9 Comp that I just bought for $200. I considered that fair because I couldn't find any place online selling a C9 Comp and mom no longer offers the compensated version of the C9.

Realy, the "fair" price for any used item, be it a gun, a car, or anything else, can only be determined by the person wanting to buy the item. Also, the location the item is being sold will play a part on the value of it.

Local Armslist has two used HP handguns, each for $200. The .380 has two mags and a box of ammo, and the .45 has one mag and "some" ammo - maybe a full box, not sure. They might be there a while.

I have a feeling here in MD the prices of HiPoints will shoot up pretty high. As of Oct 1st, our max capacity will be 10 rounds, and most 9mm pistols have double stack mags. That leaves HiPoints, revolvers, 1911s, and compact 9mm and .380s. Plus on new guns, you need the cost of a spent case. Plus the cost with the new licensing fees makes a used HiPoint with a lifetime warranty more apealing. Especially the new base of new firearms owners that have been created due tot he current legislation. Everyone here is rushing to buy higher capacity guns now, but then all folks not 21 as of Oct 1st, will had 10rd or less handguns to buy.

You were not even in the league when it comes to excessive prices, judging from the absurdities we've seen. Just a little above what I had seen for NIB at LGS around that time. Not implying that you were gouging - getting a good price is not the same as gouging.

Here are the only price guides that means anything. And they are in constant fluxuation.
    #1 - supply and demand
#2 - what a buyer is willing to pay and a seller willing to accept.

  17. ?? I sold my used jhp 45 for 200$ no questions asked.

    +1 for this post.

I have seen 0a used 4595 for under $200 and one almost double that. A C9 comp for under $80 and another well over double that.

    My fave LGS has a used JHP .45 w/ 3 mags for 169.99, or a used .45 w/ 1 mag for 149.99.
Lots of factors for pricing things, all comes down to what it is worth to you.
