Wife and I are close to that 70 year old stage and we are getting bugout/medical and survival food bags together for if something does HTF where a vehicle couldn't/wouldn't/shouldn't be used to better cover our tracks.

It got me thinking that maybe with all the weight we'd be toting around, not as sprite and nimble as we used to be, and wife having some medical issues, that there's no way I'd be able to carry everything we think we'd need and it dawned on me that I have a game cart that could ease the load, while getting us get to a safe spot.

Anybody think using a game cart couldn't be beneficial as a bugout accessory to also have, if available?

At 70 I'd invest more in HD. Especially if your not real healthy. But it all depends on individual needs and situations. I'm not going anywhere here. Except to hunt which includes everything. The neighborhood is set up for simple fortification and I can easily do other things like deterrents and such. Most of my neighborhood is gun friendly and out right a bit nutty. Others can just leave or be food or fodder. Lol J/k

Oh I have plenty of HD, that's not the issue, and some of that defense would be coming with me. A home, even with a basement can be bombed, smoked out, or overrun if enough unfriendlies get thru the door or they broke out some windows. I've got other options to go to and the deep timber woods which are about 1/2 mile away seems to be best defensive area, with easy crossing thru the pastures with lighter wooded outcroppings to duck and hide if needed, so having a cart I think could help me I believe.

I thought about the golf cart as some others mentioned, but I have a ready to use game cart that can hold up to 600#s, but that weight wouldn't be loaded and try to pull, maybe 75#s at the most.

Ideally if you leave you need a place already set up. So you don't have to haul it.

I might know a couple of people that have squirreled away stashes. Now these make believe people have been digging holes since high school. Wonder whats down there.

Its not a bad idea. Check out my thread with a jogger stroller framd Small gear cart
Thanks. I had forgotten about that thread, and I've seen those setups at some shooting matches, but forgot all about them, until last night that I thought of the game cart I have with it's wide stance for stability, with wheels like that jogger stroller. Some of those ideas of a tote and putting on some rifle mounts is a great idea.

I now need to bring out my cart, and see what I can do for setup ideas. Also camo paint the shiny chrome pieces to not be a give away on location. Then load up and have things at the ready, except for the electronics that will need to be kept charged, waiting to be thrown into a bag to head over the hill.

My deer cart is double duty. It is used for a portable solar generator most of the time. The deep cycle battery has 12 volt battery clamps, 12 volt cigarette charger, 110 volt inverter of 400w pure sine wave and 1000w modified. Best of all it can run my CPAP machine so I can get a good night's sleep when camping or during a power outage at home.
