The acid-injecting robo-spiders are scarier. I was paranoid about sounds in my room for about a week after I saw that movie as a kid.

Actually Popular Mechanics is about 7 months behind. This first came out in Jan or Feb of this year.

    Even the Germans love Tom!

  7. "Logan's Run"

Anyone read the "Logan's Run" books? They had a gun in it that shot (along with 5 other projectiles) a "homer" round. Once fired, it was going to get it's target.

Many many years ago. The whole genera subset of 60's/70's Distopian Future was new to me. It was refreshingly different and unique, though dark and grating, from Distopian Futures imagined by the writers of the 50's and early 60's which tended to be based around nuclear war.
