hey everybody, I've fired off my concealed carry paperwork and I'm just waiting for BCS to send my permit, well i've been thinking about getting a new gun to carry.
I've been looking into the Beretta PX4 Storm in .40cal. of course that's just what I've been drawn to, anybody have one? what are your likes/dislikes.
and what other guns (other than Hi-Points) do you guys conceal carry??
what's your favorite/most comfortable carry set up??
just rounding up some ideas

I carry a few, depending on the situation. I work in a office, so Kel-Tec
P3AT, there. I keep the C9 in the car between the seat and console under a headsock. When I am out and can have my shirt tail out S&W 40C. And when I have a sport coat on I carry a Colt 1903 .32acp.

Most of the time I am carrying a Smith and Wesson model 39 IWB. I recently picked up a KelTec p-11 and plan on giving it a while real soon as well. I also carry a Springfield GI 1911 at times as well.

late spring to early fall is my Bersa T380--

the rest of the "cold" months ( I live in the DFW Metroplex) is my XD45 in a shoulder rig as long as I can jacket up-- if not, it is back to the Bersa-- of course I always pack a NAA 22S (.22 Short) as a deep bug and sometimes carry my Tarus PT25 as a normal BU to whatever is my primary.,..

GD I pray for OC in Texas in '09!!!

I carry my C9 year round IWB, OWB and in a shoulder rig in winter!

I also carry 2 extra 10 rnd mags and 3 8 rnd mags in addition to 10 + 1 in the gun. call me paranoid but I don't like the idea of being caught short

I've carried various guns since I started packing heat two years ago, Springfield XDs, Glocks, Ruger and Taurus snubbies, and 1911s. I prefer Glocks or XDs for carry the most though.

On that storm someone on here had a KB with one. If you do a search you should find the post. It was an old time user so they are still around. I just cant remember who it was. He can tell you what it was like to deal with the company. I pretty much carry my P11 Kel Tech the most. I carry that in a fobus holster on my right side. It is on my right side as I type. I am one that feels my carry weapon must be practiced with, so I shoot my P-11 all the time. Other then my P-11 I carry a XD9. I think the XDs are very very well thought out and can take the junk and keep shooting.

When I can conceal it I carry a S&W M&P40. It's quite bulky, but also fun to shoot, for when you aren't carrying it. I just got a Bersa Thunder 380. This thing is awesome, you shoot quite fast with good sight aquisition, pretty accurate. www.gunblast.com has reviews of a lot of the options, including the 380.

P.S.
Buffalo Bore Ammunition sells hot pistol ammo.

I carry my PF9 from Kel Tec in a Uncle Mikes size one IWB. It's so light weight that periodically through the day I have to physically check and make sure it's still there! ;-) I also have a Colt 1911 MKIV Series 80 that I wear OWB on rare occasions. But it's a heavy beast so I usually only do it when it's winter and I have heavy clothes on. But here in Colorado it's legal to open carry so it doesn't matter if it shows. ;-)

Of course, selecting a CCW is a personal choice of the smallest acceptable caliber in the most compact, acceptable weapon. It's just personal preference. Some people will not accept anything less than a .45 while others are willing to carry a .380.

I often carry my Kel-Tec .380 P-3AT more than any other gun I have because of its size and what I do, though I would prefer a 9mm. That being said, I sometimes carry my SKYY (now SCCY) 9mm subcompact depending on how I dress and what I'm doing. Anything else I have is just too big and bulky.
