Hi,

Bought a older Hi-Point JH 45 at a local gun show. Spent a few hours cleaning.
The firearm came in the original Hi-Point box. The owners manual was included.
The first page has a "Statement of Limited Warranty" which states that the Model JH 45 ACP is warranted to the original retail customer for life.

I have a C9 and a 995TS, both user manuals have the same text.
I do have the original receipt for the C9 and 995TS, but I bought the JH 45 used, without the original receipt.

Does Hi-point honor the warranty on the older JH 45? I love all my Hi-Points.
I do not have any current problems, just confused about the warranty.

Thanks, I did do a search but could not locate an on point answer.

Ron

Maybe that manual was written before Hi Point adopted their, "you send us a practically destroyed third owner gun and we'll rebuild it to factory standard" policy. Seriously though, lots of people have sent in metal framed guns and the warranty was honored.

i dont think i've ever heard of something they DIDNT fix. that might make for an interesting thread. What's it take to make mom say "no way"?!? i'm not talking speculation. i mean real experiences.

Cut into quarters with a torch? Maybe if you returned a puddle of zamak and plastic, that'd be the first refusal in HP history.

Leave the serial number intact and I bet they replace it.

WOW, thanks for the quick on point responses

Thanks,

This was my first post, really impressed by the on point responses.
Glad to hear that my old JH 45 (not a JHP 45) will be covered.

I paid $100.00, checked the barrel and worked the action. The
firearm needed a good cleaning and needed some oil, but it
seemed ok. I spent about three hours cleaning. It was very hard
to get the slide off, the Slide Retainer was stuck in the frame I had
to pry the slide up. The magazine is hard to release, I can put upward
pressure on the magazine, that helps with the release. This will
be my primary defense weapon. I do not believe I will need a quick,
tactical magazine change, 8 rounds of 45 should work. My C9
will be my backup, the 995ts will by my fun range shooter.
This is my third Hi-Point. Love them all. The 995ts is accurate at 100 yards
with the iron sights. The C9 fits my hand and just feels right.

Thanks all

I had the same questions myself! In case you over-looked while visiting

http://hi-pointfirearms.com

at the bottom of the page states that all Hi-Point firearms carry a lifetime warranty, even if you are the third-hand owner.

Would not mind seeing your 45. I'm quite new to Hi-Point firearms myself, having purchased a bran new JHP .45 acp still unfired in the box about nine months ago!

third-hand owner

Hi,

Not in my JH manual. There is no such statement.
But, I am glad to hear that Hi-Point/Haskell Manufacturing will
honor the warranty. But this is a old 45 acp.
I live in Albuquerque, you may look at it any time.

I love my Hi-Points.

I bet it looks a "lot" like this one. ImageUploadedByHi-Point Forum1393806151.999928.jpg

Haskell has replaced almost every part under the lifetime of the gun warranty. I am not the original owner.

It came with one magazine. I have added five more since I first got it. I will soon be trying to see if a Chip McCormick 8-round spring/follower kit will work.

I forgot to mention, lots of super great information about your gun is found up the "General Hi-Point Discussion sticky thread". There are some great pictures of it there.

I must be too literal, sorry.

Not sure how to post pictures, I did attache two photos.
I tend to read the warranty, every word. But I am glad
that Hi-Point makes and backs a fine series of firearms.

Thanks
Ron

The Nerf is for backup!

You never know when a Zombie may attack. I may have missed with the C9,
the 995TS was in the car and I could not reach the Jh 45, the Nerf is my always carry LOL.

I posted a photo of this nerf gun with my Mosin Nagant, quit a contrast.
Just wanted to have fun with the photo.

Going to the range to shoot the JH 45 on 3/5/14. Looking forward to seeing
how this works. It was a lot of effort to get it clean and functioning. I may hold it off to side for the first shot.

Love Hi-Point.

Shoots great

Hi,

Hit near the center at 10 yards, about a 6 inch grouping, had a few flyers, but I am 67. The trigger felt tight, had to put more pressure then my C9. This
will be my home defense weapon. Was happy with the recoil and
grip. No problems with about 30 rounds shot. This was a $100
gun, plus the hours cleaning. I will start looking for hi-points at
the gun shows here in Albuquerque. There was a C9 for sale, $240.
I talked to the vendor, he stated that he would get that from someone
that was not familiar with the C9. I can always use the nerf gun ;-)
