It was melting the snow off…but it snowed an inch of powder again this morning. It will be gone soon. That’s what I keep telling myself. I coach track…we’ve been going for two weeks, haven’t been on a track yet.
We did have some real honest-to-goodness freezing weather this winter; Sweetie lost a large portion of a bougainvillea despite covering it up. Other plants just lay possum - they truly look dead but give 'em a month and they start sprouting. Anyway this AM it's 51* and sunny. I might put on a sweatshirt to go outside.
I wish Bougainvillea grew outside up here! We grew it as a potted patio/house plant back in college.
We had 82* on Easter in 2007. Then it hit 2* after that. I moved in November 2006. Crepe Myrtles got whacked hard. Never got leaves. They did flower in August :( I had no idea what they even were until then.

That's another one that won't grow here. 🫥

Best friend from high school sent me a pic of his house in SW Oregon. Looks like sable palms in the yard.

Yup, I gave a potted one to my 1st wife one year up in mAssachoo$hitz. (She killed it.)
Pruning the one here in Flo-ri-duh is a thorny proposition.

We are expecting 6 to 10 more inches. Hopefully its the last of it.

Well it poured rain from about 4pm yesterday through the night and is still pouring this morning. I hope the temps warmed up enough up on the property that it's raining up there too and not snowing.

Glad that one is staying north! Some flurries/rain today maybe... later this week maybe an inch of snow but 36 degrees...
Tonight into tomorrow...

WHAT...For the Blizzard Warning, blizzard conditions expected. Total snow accumulations of 4 to 7 inches. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph. For the Winter Weather Advisory, mixed precipitation. Additional snow accumulations of up to one inch and ice accumulations of around one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
It's all over the map. Sun is shining one day, 35 degrees, wind chill to the bone, but the snow is melting, mud everywhere, but then it's overcast at 25 degrees and it's also still snowing other days. Wind quits, it's 38, and everyone is shedding their jacket, and wandering around in T-shirts.

We call this spring.:)
Current storm track shifted north, totally missing here now. But WINDY... can hear it howling outside the window and trash that thawed out of the snow is blowing by the window.
22 degrees, at least 8" of snow on ground, still falling, falling, falling......

But it's a light, fluffy snow, not the wet clingy type that brings down power lines and tree limbs.

Y'all keep that snow and cold up there. We have 78 here and I'm loving it!
Its a blizzard here. Work actually closed the plant at 6:30 tonight. 1st time all year. But the plant manager was reported to corporate for him never closing the plant. So I think the upper HR finally told him to start erroring on the side of caution.
Super freezing nasty wind today, 35 with wind chill down to “stay inside” levels. But it was sunny.
Calling for 1" hail tomorrow night. Severe storms, not much chance of tornadoes like last weekend. We'll see.

80's today, and tomorrow. 50's on Thursday.

Heat last night. AC tonight. It's Tennessee.

No lock on weird weather, Trash. We have the same thing here. Back into the low 30s at night by Sunday.
Why are hospital rooms kept so cold...?

Brrr.
