I think my grandkids would like this!

Air gun Shooter game Shotgun Machine gun Eyewear

WEE-1 press release:
"WEE1 TACTICAL is ALL IN at the 2022 SHOT Show® this January 18–21 and will be joining an incredible list of more than 2,000 exhibits at The Venetian Expo and Caesars Forum in Las Vegas. We are excited to announce that we will be presenting the JR-15 .22Cal Long Rifle this year! The JR-15 is the first in a line of shooting platforms that will safely help adults introduce children to the shooting sports. We believe that this introduction early on will produce a deep respect for firearms that continue and last for a lifetime of safety!

Our goal from day one was to develop a shooting platform that was not only sized correctly, and safe, but also looks, feels, and operates just like Mom and Dad’s gun. Safety was so much at the forefront of our thought process that we developed and patented a tamper resistant safety that puts the adult in control of the firearms safety switch. The developers of the Wee 1 Tactical JR-15 have been in the firearms market for over 40 years. Schmid Tool has been providing firearms components to our customers in the AR-15 market specifically for more the 30 years. We are so excited to start capturing the imagination of the next generation to enter the shooting sports.

The JR-15 functions like a modern sporting rifle, however and most importantly its Lightweight & rugged polymer construction and Ergonomics are geared towards children. Additionally, its Single shot capable with a one round magazine/ The JR-15 is accessory ready with picatinny, M-LOK handguard, and seven position adjustable buttstock.

We believe that with proper mentorship this platform will build confidence and teach responsibility."

Oh, the horror (or, the oh-so predictable liberal anti-gun response)
Po Murray, chairwoman of the Newtown Action Alliance, said Wednesday: "The callousness of the National Shooting Sports Foundation to promote a children's version of the same type of assault rifle that was used in a horrific mass shooting of 20 first graders and six educators in our shared community is just the latest proof that the organization, and the gun manufacturers it represents, will do anything in pursuit of continued profits" (Note: The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF), the organization that puts on the SHOT Show, is based in Newtown, CT)

Josh Sugarmann, executive director of the Violence Policy Center (VPC), took the gun-maker to task for selling "swag" featuring cartoon skulls with baby pacifiers -one with bows and pigtails, and another with a mohawk- by saying "At first glance, this comes across as a grotesque joke. On second look, it's just grotesque" adding "That a gun-maker has embraced imagery of dead children to promote gun ownership by youth surreally illustrates how detached this industry is from the death and injury that result from its products, especially among the young"

My 2¢:
Predictable and misguided liberal anti-gun reaction; and WEE-1 was giving away that cartoon skull / baby pacifier swag when I was at SHOT four years ago, nothing new. Time to get a grip!

Only around 2#s. Amazingly light. I'm guessing it still breaks down like its bigger kin, since they mention a polymer upper and lower. I just might need to get one of these to have on hand for when the grandkids visit. They'd love it. Hell, might even get one for me/wife as a SHTF backpack survival bring along. Now, for the price and where to get?

Just found some more info about the JR15. It looks like they're trying for an MSRP of around $400. There's some videos out already from the 2021 Shot Show about this gun and in the hands of an adult, looks really small and I hate to say, damn cute.

Not worth $200 unless it has gold or silver trim!

It's a .22!

Holy crap. I LOVE IT!!!

Wonder how much? If it’s $200 or less, and threaded….it will sell by the truckload.
No kidding. I would get myself one. Kids use my lil gun single shot. So they learn how to hit shit. I just want to do mag dumps. Lol

I have a lot of sub $100 .22s.
And I have more than a few that were over $200, and worth every penny.
The alternatives are a Cricket, or a Savage Rascal. The Rascal runs $175, the Cricket is much less gun and runs $125; both could be less in a sale price.
My 11 year old grandson has bats that cost $200….now THAT is ridiculous.

I've been hard at work recovering several of the .22 rifles I had to sell off back in '16.

Many folk have sold them back to me for what I sold it to them for but, one friend needed a bit more.

So far,
two Marlin 60's, a Ruger 10/22, and a Henry AR-7.

Looking to recover another Marlin 60.
