Cross draw from a belly band holster. Wear it under your shirt, remove the firearm when you get to work and leave the belly band on while working.

The one that I tried went on easy but I had to practically take off my pants to get it off again.

I'm interested in seeing your option.

Take the tabs off. They come off if its a decent holster.

For easy on/easy off OWB, look for one with quick-clips, or that you install them on

I find these work well, really easy to don and doff the holster for my XD.

Love paddle holsters, have a number of them for different guns, even my S&W 637. Never had any issues with slipping them off if I had to.

  11. Maybe one of the old tanker holsters, but still looking at the put on/take off problem. Maybe something like a Molle setup. Heavy duty velcro? Stick it on and peel it off when not carrying it?

  13. Something like a Molle setup? Hmm.
@lklawson I'm betting @CamoDeafie could work up something for you.

  14. The issues seems to be...
    1. Needs to be discreet. I don't do discreet ;)
    2. Easy on/off while being discreet
Those are gonna be difficult to find that doesn't interfere with car seatbelts, or interfere with being seated.

I would agree with the tanker style holster or the belly band holster if the guy isn't round bellied, as the belly band would definitely give it away in seated position when someone sees that the dude has what looks like a hidden girdle

Yeah. If it was easy, I coulda figgured it out on my own in 1 min and wouldn't have had to ask for help. :D

    You don't know. Maybe I need a girdle? ;)

I use a Cook's Kydex IWB appendix style, it has the big wide easy on easy off, but very secure clip. You can put it on with gun already holstered, remove it with the gun holstered. There are a lot of other vendors out there with this style clip now, but when I was looking Cook's was a pioneer for it. I like it for semi-autos too

I do not carry a 38 or a 380 much outside of the house. For a 38 I prefer a Colt Detective Special as it is a six shooter, I do own a nice Performance Center J-Frame too. I mainly have 38's as they seem obligatory.

There is no perfect solution, but this is what I use.

Here's an option you might want to try. I got one just last week and it works great. Nice thing is it doesn't look like a holster, but you can wear it so your weapon is right near your chest, great while in a vehicle. You can get them in multiple colors and also right or left draw. Plenty big to carry anything from a 1911 on down.
