My co-worker was trying to help someone recently like this. He had a little computer with a small video card and was complaining that a video resolution of about 4096 x 2160 was not working on his monitor. My co-worker told him that the video resolution he wanted with that computer and video card was beyond the capability of that computer hardware. The man told him to stop making excuses and fix it.
