Whatever is on sale, my .45 ain't that picky.
I've shot some Tula at the range, I like it.

Now here I am agonising over the risks of putting light 45 Super reloads through my JHP, and you are feeding yours a steady diet. Hmm:rolleyes:

No, those are choices for self defense ammunition only.
I mainly shoot TulAmmo out of my Hi Points at the range.

    Bullet Type: Full Metal Jacket
    Bullet Weight: 230 GR
    Muzzle Velocity: 850 fps
    Mfg Item Num: TA452300
    Rounds/box: 50 Rounds Per Box
    Casing Material: polymer-coated steel

How does it like those heavy loads when you do shoot them? The one Super load I have ready for testing is a light super, but a heavy acp +P+. It actually has a lighter charge than one of my lead loads, but it's jacketed so that is not strange.

The +P ammo has a little more kick to them, but function really well. The +P+ slams the slide a little harder than I like, but does a lot of damage to the target. Neither +P or +P+ should be used repetitively, but shooting 50 rounds would be fine to get the feel.

Using +P+ would be a good defensive round if the bullet had to pass through a barrier, like a car door or some other heavy obstacle.

Hi Point indicates that their guns will handle all factory ammunition.

Its really hard to turn away from Tulammo FMJ 45s when they're only $14 per box at the gun show. Sure its not reloadable, but that's cheap. It works too.

Aguila 45 ACP was the cheapest brass cased stuff I could find at the last show and that was going for $17 a box. Its hard to spend that kind of money on a single box of 45 when you could get two boxes of Wolf 9mm for the same money!

I shoot Tula out of the 4595 at the range a lot, but Freedom Munitions has .45 FMJ for less than $15/50 either Blaster (blemished) or once-fired, a $15 and change for new. It runs fine in both the carbine and my Taurus MillPro. Recently tried PMC in .45, .223, and .45 and liked it.

I've had trouble with Federal and the two boxes of Tula fired great. Little bit more kick, nice puff of smoke that would make your eyes water and bad looks from the snobs....:D:D:D

ive said this before and everyone lit me up, i can load only 8 tula in my mag. 9 of brass, walmart tula, you can get 9 in but it is crammed and they come out nose up nose down, puts stress on the spring, but my jhp, and carbine are only 5 months old, ive only shot 18 out of the carbine and about 100 from the pistol, maybe mag not broke in yet?

Possible, my .45 is a pawnshop rescue, looked like it was only moderately used.
    But no way of knowing.
I was surprised about the Federal.
Winchester white box didn't do too bad but also had some issues.
I prefer the S&B, Tula and the UMC or AMC whatever it's called.

All ive ever shot is PMC and it functions so im sticking with it. i have some white box and federal, just havent had to shoot it yet, i think the tula dosent have enough powder to get proper pressure for the blowback needed to eject Reliable. but then again i had some cci 22lr the other day where the bullet was deformed and wouldnt go in the chamber on my 1911 22. so i guess they can all be crap at times if you geta bad batch of ammo?
