What dose your HP Carbine weigh, fully loaded, decked out and ready for the zombie apocalypse? Mine tops out at 11.5 pounds. Is that normal ? Going to look at ways to trim her down a few dress sizes. :D

Mine is about 7.5 to 8.5 lbs, that's the gun, the bullets, and a red dot or small scope.

about the same weight of a military grade M16A1

  4. The more "decked out" with a gamut of really unnecessary, tacticool gizmos you put on it, the more it will weigh. But, it's your gun do do whatever you want to with it.

As my cousin says, "The more weight, the better the boat anchor!"

    But, he's a Glock guy....

I have never weighed mine but to add another data point to the Hi Point carbine zombie apocalypse spreadsheet mine weighed in at 9.78 lbs. That is the carbine, red dot, front grip, 3 loaded mags, and sling. I also would have 8 additional mags but I am currently too lazy to load them and see what they weigh.

    Interesting question.

I weighed everything below on a doctor’s weight scale (no springs).

Hi-Point 995TS with original iron sights and with the following options:
Hi-Point forward grip along with Hi-Point tool
    Joey’s Key Chain trigger
    Empty magazine in grip
Mag holder with 2 empty spare magazines
Leather arm guard for cheek rest with soft foam underneath
SureFire XL300 weapon light with battery
    NcStar 45 degree Off-Set Weaver/Picatinny Rail Mount
    Bushnell TRS-25 Red Dot sight
Two Magpul quick disconnect sling mounts

Total weight just under 8.25 pounds

With Savvy Sniper Quad dual QD w/MS sling total weight came to just under 8.75 pounds.

    Well, that's just peachy.

When I finally pay mine off, I'm gonna attach several large helium balloons to mine to help keep them lighter...

That would certainly be an "interesting" day in my Doctors office, lol.
"Excuse me Doc, I just need to use your scale for a minute."

Helium gas shortage won't affect me... I have my own helium tank.

Or the heavier it is, the greater the chance of a thief getting a hernia trying to steal it!
