add some picatinny rails and tactical cupholders on the side
You can mount a remote holder to the pic rails, and a flashlight for those days when the power goes out and you need to see to get out of the chair...to start your genny so you can keep watching TV.;)

Price? That scope is about $50-$100 if it is an actual Mossberg (looks like it is).

Mine was my first Mossy, it shot so well, I was hooked.:)

a pristine never fired customized CZ52.
Custom wood grips, custom sights and a slide release.
Build in 1953 with two mags and a year matching holster, lanyard and a cleaning rod.

Sticker price was $279.95
I would have paid that but I like to haggle so I offered $225.
He looked at his colleague who said yes so it's on layaway !!!!

Whaddaya think?

Got a walther p22 buddy found it in his father's house while going thru things after he passed away called ma an asked if I wanted a pistol. I said sure what caliber he said it was a pos 22 got there to pick it up and it was a walther p22. Gave him a box of 45apc for it.
I'll give you a brick of .22 for it...that should more than double your money.:p

The Walther P22 was the piggest POS I have ever owned. Tried multiple mags (even the newer gen mags), every type of ammo I could find, and still couldn't get through a single mag without an issue. It was great for teaching malfunction drills and not much else, I would typically have 2-3 failures per magazine.

It would lock open with a partial magazine left loaded, stovepipe, fail to set the hammer back, fail to pick the next round off of the magazine (empty chamber but loaded mag randomly during firing), and fail to extract, all within a few (6-7) mags.

I think the Phoenix Arms HP22A is twice the gun that the Walther was and I say this knowing about a few issues the Phoenix has. At least it actually functioned.

If you're going to spend the money to get a gun in that price range, go with the Ruger MK series every time.
You do realize, don't you, that if all of them were that bad...they wouldn't be so popular?

You got a lemon. Did you try the warranty?

And if you want a better gun than the MK series, for less money, try a S&W 22a.;)

Apparently they don't expect the P22 to work long. The warranty on the P22 lasts one year. If I were buying a gun like this I'd go with the SR22 because at least Ruger will fix their guns that have issues.
Sounds like a plan. I always felt the P22 was stupid expensive anyway.

The S&W also has a habit of being picky and cracks along the vent rib (a guy on the Bryco forum has sent his back 2-3 times broken), although I've read that S&W will fix it for free and cover shipping both ways, unlike the Umarex manufactured P22 who builds guns known for bad QC and slide cracks..
Huh. I have three, no issues, and definitely not ammo picky. Never heard of that particular issue, I'll have to check it out.

The MK3 is known for two things, being extremely durable and being equally annoying to assemble/reassemble compared to the majority of other target size .22lr pistols. It is probably the best rimfire I have ever owned, and I've owned my share.
They are good. But I have actually heard they are the ammo picky ones.:p
Can't always believe everything you read, eh?

I'd also like to toss another name in the ring that rarely gets mentioned which is the Beretta Neos. The Neos is incredibly easy to maintain and like my MK3, has been 100% reliable with every ammo type.
The one thing about the NEOS is the ergonomics. That ray gun look makes it actually impossible for me to get a grip on the thing, the web between thumb and forefinger simply won't fit into that tiny slot at the top of the grip.:(

But for non-fat fingered folk, I've heard lots of good.

I did a bunch of reading. Like every other .22 out there some people love the 22A and claim 30,000 shells with no failures, others say theirs was total crap and they are worse than a Hi Point.:p

Read absolutely nothing about the vent rib thing. Searched specifically all over for them. Though not in the Bryco forum.

All I know for sure is, mine run great.:)
