I wasn't gonna buy anything else for awhile, but Classic Firearms had to go and ruin that plan. They've got their B-grade M91/30 Nagants on sale this weekend for $99.99.

Timny trigger to follow followed by a new stock;that archangel stock someone posted earlier looks cool enough that I might order one myself

Well, I promised myself and my wife I wouldn't buy another firearm for awhile after I picked up my TP-9, but Classic had to go have a sale on the Mosins... ordered it this morning. Now to figure out how to get it into the safe when it comes in and hide it among my others!!
So you had to get one after I posted that I bought one on sale there, too? :p

I'm on their mailing list... they're like the devil on my shoulder sending me stuff I want all the time...

I do remember you posting also... now we have two right!
I got that email too, that's how I knew about it. I bought an M44 carbine off of them awhile back and now I'm getting the rifle. Though I do plan on buying a new stock for it and adding the Timny trigger and a scope/mount. Looking real hard at that Archangel stock SteveC posted awhile back, and the reviews I've seen online have been quite favorable.

My B-grade 91/30 came in last night, and I went to get it this morning.
Dated 1942 with 65 stamped on the butt plate, bolt, receiver and magazine plate. I was kinda hoping the rifle woulda been stamped 1945 so I could have a pair of 1945 Mosins.
Is it a good thing to have a low numbered numbers matching rifle?

My 91/30 on top, the M44 underneath.

Though, their business is located in their barn/garage, so they might take a weekend delivery and let me know about it; hard to tell.

Dunno what the heck is going on with UPS, but never did get the call on friday from the FFL.
I could have went and picked up my 995ts already after work thursday or friday after work, but UPS delivers out there later in the day(~4:30pm is when the first shipment arrived), and I didn't want to have to run right back out there to pick the Goldenboy up.

The shirt was an extra from Rock Creek outdoors when I ordered the HP. Got an extra mag with it as well, and free shipping. $259 for the 995ts and $419 for the GB; add $15 to each for the transfer fees and I got them for less than I've seem either one in stores for.

Not sure if I wanna take the 995 out this weekend or not because I don't have ammo for it, and I'd like to have the mags sitting for a little bit with ammo in them to work on the springs a bit. The goldenboy, however, is definitely going

Tough competition, no doubt. The Shield is getting lots of love, and is about $100 cheaper, give or take.

I have some buyer's remorse with my Nano, even though it's been serviced and works fine, I wish I picked up an XDS. You know, less hassle, not likely to be sent in a week after owning it.

I didn't think I'd like the grip safety, also thought the Nano is pocket carry capable.
I wanted to like the Shield, but didn't care for it when I tried it out at my CCW class. The Ruger LC9 I rented friday kicked more than I thought it would, even the Shield didn't kick as much from recoil. When I tried the XDs awhile back, I really liked it in the 9mm; the .45 was just too much for my taste.
The Walther PPQ is on my short list, too, for a larger sized 9mm carry gun

I imagine MoM knows Melvin by voice alone already.
"Thank you for calling HiPoint, How may I help you?"
"Hi. I have a-"
"Oh, hey Melvin, you got another gun to send back to us, do you? We'll get you a label out as soon as we can."

I wouldn't mind the M44 in a Archangel stock?
I bought a B grade 91/30 for an archangel build. Cost $100 on sale at classicfirearms.com, the archangel stock I found for like $150 on sale somewhere online. That's about the cost of an M44 Mosin before shipping and transfer. I dunno how the bayonet would be affected by the new stock on the M44, as it's attached directly to the barrel.

Someone on here had a PU sniper, IIRC, but they were wanting to do an archangel build, and they didn't pay even half the actual cost of a PU. I offered to trade them even up for my 91/30 AND the stock, but they never got back to me. Maybe I should find the post again and PM the person to see if they've still got it.
