Well, I promised myself and my wife I wouldn't buy another firearm for awhile after I picked up my TP-9, but Classic had to go have a sale on the Mosins... ordered it this morning. Now to figure out how to get it into the safe when it comes in and hide it among my others!!

So you had to get one after I posted that I bought one on sale there, too? :p
I'm on their mailing list... they're like the devil on my shoulder sending me stuff I want all the time...

I do remember you posting also... now we have two right!

I got that email too, that's how I knew about it. I bought an M44 carbine off of them awhile back and now I'm getting the rifle. Though I do plan on buying a new stock for it and adding the Timny trigger and a scope/mount. Looking real hard at that Archangel stock SteveC posted awhile back, and the reviews I've seen online have been quite favorable.
Yea, I've bought a few things off of them. I specifically got this one to put into the archangel stock. Going to do the same mods you said so let me know how it goes and I'll do the same. Mine may take longer... covert basement ops away from wife...

My B-grade 91/30 came in last night, and I went to get it this morning.
Dated 1942 with 65 stamped on the butt plate, bolt, receiver and magazine plate. I was kinda hoping the rifle woulda been stamped 1945 so I could have a pair of 1945 Mosins.
Is it a good thing to have a low numbered numbers matching rifle?

My 91/30 on top, the M44 underneath.
Received Mine Friday. Hex Receiver Tula, matching numbers 1932! Unbelievable!

Going to have to keep this one original and get another for my Archangel sporterize!

Update: Here she is all cleaned up and oiled. Oiled the wood, cleaned up the barrel and disassembled then cleaned/oiled/polished the bolt.

Passed No-Go Gauge test so she's all ready for the range!!

Well I went and won an auction on gunbroker... I never thought my $150.00 bid would hold up on a new Chiappa M1 22. Kind of forgot I bid on it 8 days ago and was notified today. Now its mine. Always wanted a real M1 but this will due for now and much cheaper to shoot... if i can find 22lr ammo lol.

Here go the pics:

Well picked it up today, looks great. Can't wait to get it to the range... wish it would stop raining here...

While I was at my LGS he offered me a few things that he had "sitting" in the back... since he saw the Chiappa M1 22 he told me he had a 1943 Inland-General Motors model M1 and an STG-44 (22lr model) in wooden crate and brick of 500 rounds for it. Both for $975.00 out the door. The M1 is in really good shape, in my opinion and it is personally owned by the LGS owner and he told me the story how he picked it up for about $20.00 in the 70's (CMP).

If I had the cash I would have taken him up on the deal... I asked him if he could wait for a payday (or two...) and he's willing. What do you guys think?

Here are the pics: STG 44 and M1 Carbine:

I already bought the M1 22LR, its what I picked up. The other M1 he showed me was an ACTUAL M1 Carbine as listed above.

But yes, if it was for two .22LR rifles its definitely a no-go!

Well I did it again...

Just can't control myself!

I went to my LGS today to pick up my very first "Evil Black Rifle"... He had a great Deal on a ATI OMNI M4 Multicaliber. It came with a Chiappa upper in .22lr.

Now I know these don't have the best reputation but some seem to love them, some seem to hate them... remind you guys of anything??? Our beloved Hi-points! So I figured for the price I couldn't pass it up ($275.00 out the door). This will work for a few reasons, I can just get a 223/556 upper and slap it on, supposedly it will even accept 410, we'll see but it is multi-functional. It took some haggling but hey, you never know if you don't ask right?

Now for the Haggling part... He talked me into another Mosin also. It was still in the box from Century Arms, so it was sight unseen. The price of haggling lol. This was 150.00.

So I had to buy both to get those prices... I'm way too easy... anyway I knew what my Evil Black Rifle Looked like so I decided to open up the Mosin first and see what i got, It was kinda fun, like a birthday present... to myself lol.

Anyway It was well worth it. It came with sling/Bayonet/Cleaning Kit/Oiler/ammo belt with 4 pouches and the rifle itself was a Laminated HEX.

The Mosin was covered (and I mean COVERED) in cosmoline... Took me 4-5 hours tonight to get her cleaned up but I think it came out beautiful.

So for 425.00 I came home with not one but two rifles... anyway pictures below!! (just ignore that white uninterested cat in the background!)

Added another handgun to my safe yesterday. A Taurus 24/7 PRO C. I've been looking at the PT140's in .40 S&W for about a month now after I shot a friends but this one kind of just fell into my lap.

Saw it for sale over the weekend and did some research and liked what I read. So for $225.00 shipped. Comes with (1) 10 round and (2) Hi-Cap 15 round mags along with a magazine pouch. Seemed too good to pass up. Used but looked to be in great shape, and I figure Taurus has a lifetime warranty also so couldn't go wrong.

Anyway here are the pics:

Great Job Ajole, that's like 350-400 worth of ammo alone. Would love to get a 10mm... Someday, someday.

My 5 month quest to pick up my order/cancel and buy my AR is finally done. Found a gun store with good customer service who was willing to make a 5 minute call to verify I could buy it.
