Welp, in the last month, I have bought three Taurus revolvers, to go along with my S&W Model 637. One is a model 65 in .357 Magnum, the second is the Model 856 UL in .38 Special + P, the the third one was today...the model 905, in 9mm Luger.

I will not get the chance to shoot it until next Friday, the day after Thanksgivin, so I'll be chomping at the bit until then.

Sounds decent enough. People don't seem to realize there are the original M77, a MkII, and the Hawkeye versions over the years. They just know the "original" had a tang safety that made them worth extra. I know a MkII's was going for around $600 at my local LGS not to long ago. That was a consignment though.

Covid/election price, maybe, it is in line with completed auctions for an m77 in .243 on GB. But as the old saying goes - things are only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. So yeah it's worth $600 :p

Nice looking rifle, can't go wrong with a Ruger.

This is only my 5th gun this year, with the crazy prices, and i've been looking for a 243 varmint rifle for about 2 years. the previous owner said it will cut 1 hole groups, we will see. i had a ruger .308 years ago that had poor accuracy.

Those old Rugers are very consistent. Accuracy issues are caused by a short between the trigger and ground.

I shot my dad's 3 times at 100 yards back in the day. Quarter sized group. It has a Bushnell of some type. I forgot the name. It's in a silicone gun sock. It got a big scratch in the stock while residing in my sister's safe. I have 80rds of Australian ammo for it. Bought it a few weeks ago. Got some Lee .243 loading dies with it too.

Not all of us are modern soy boys.

I swear, people today are allergic to the sun, the moon, air, dirt, and about 80 bazillion other things...

The Tasco 6-24 that I thought about using doesnt fix on the Ruger without touching the barrel, so I'm going to put a 10x Bushnell 3200 Elite II on it. It's either that or a 3.5-10x scope.

The factory ruger stock begs for a lower mount, but anyway, i zeroed the 10x Bushnell 3200 Elite II and got .75" 5 shot groups at 100 yards. Good enough
