Hi All,

What is the difference between Nagant M91/30 and M44?
Just the length of the rifle?
Which one should I buy?

The M44 is a carbine..and both. 8)

I dont understand????
He's saying buy both...

The M44 is a carbine version of the 91/30 with a permanently attached folding bayonet. If I could only get ONE Mosin it would be a 91/30 or an M38. The bayonet and it's mount on the M44 can be a pain.

Anyways.. read http://7.62x54r.net/
First, some good sites to check out:

The M44 is a carbine, so it is shorter, and has the bayonet permanently affixed. The 91/30 is longer with a removable bayonet. The M38 is also carbine length, but has no bayonet.

I agree with the above. Buy both M44 and 91/30 - they're great, fun rifles with some solid history behind them.

Cool, thanks for all the info.
I went and looked at them and I just dont care for the length of the 91/30
They were sold out of the M44, they did have the M38 in stock but they wanted 159.99 for it.

The 91/30 is only 99 dollars plus tax, I almost bought it but decided to hold off for now.
Get the 91/30 as well. Even though they are freaking long they are awesome guns. I love mine!
Bought the M44 last night.

They do have a good price but I think he's saying he can buy them in store for the 99, by the time he did mail order and shipping and ffl if he doesn't have a C&R he'd be over the 99
