What Rush Says About Obama's Ousting of GM's Waggoner

He doesn't like it.

He thinks Obama is lying about not wanting to run the car company.

He thinks GM should have restructured under Chapter 11 bankruptcy laws and stayed in business.

Read the transcript of today's (3/30/09) Rush Limbaugh Show concerning what is yet another indication of Big Brotherism or even Socialism from the Obama Administration, here:

I didn't rear it yet but I should. I am completely OUTRAGED at the arrogance this president has portrayed lately. I had hope for GM and Chrysler but damn little now. On one hand Oboy says Chrysler is too small to survive (Yet we'll still loan them money???) and on the other he insists GMs head man go? How long until we have to go to the president or congress to ask for our own raises? How long until sheeple wake the hell up and realize big government is NOT the answer? Anyone bother to read history books anymore?

You mean like AIG? Oh, wait no. Bad example. NINETY BILLION later and these guys are still in line for more as needed. Another great government SCREW UP. Give AIG what they want while micromanaging the auto makers right out of business.

Face it guys the stimulus money will be urinated down the drain with damn little to show for it. Common sense was not even in this event.

The bailout money would have helped the economy more if it would have been divided to every American over the age of 18. I saw a number some where that this would equal out to about 30,000$ per person.

I am not usually one who thinks a gov'ment handout is right, but we still owe this money, and all the bailouts seem to be having very little effect on the economy.

Unfortunately there are still tons of Americans who feel he is the "answer" to all of America's problems. After these next 4 years hopefully they open up their eyes.
4 years? Nope, There's 90 year old men in Germany who think Hitler didnt do anything wrong.

The Bailout would have had more effect if we stuck guys from the IRS in helicopters, and let them fly over major cities and throw the money out.

There are a lot of other things wrong with this country than one man. And as long as Americans remain idle these things will keep happening. So I will not complain because we as a nation do nothing to change this country. Everything that has happened is of our own accord. And until we as a nation do decide to remind the government that this is our country and not theirs then we can all expect things to continue on a downward spiral.

i just can't believe anyone actually listen's to Rush Limbaugh, he is as bad as Al Franken
My disbelief isnt that people listen to Rush, its that they STILL listen to Rush.

PS Rush and Franken are both windbags, but franken happens to be funny.
I think Rush is funny too, just not intentionally

i pretty much think anyone on the air is a windbag, with the possible exception of Hugh Hewitt. I disagree with him quite a bit, but at least he has the stones to allow people on his show with different opinions.

Rush is an overweight drug addict who needs to shut it. And that's BEFORE I get to the Obama thing... I just have no respect for an addict period. It's the reason why I still have issues with Robert Downey Jr films: He's quite the talented man but he's going to have to work 10x harder to earn that respect. Rush doesn't even have talent on his side to win respect...

But anyways, onto the topic at hand:

I applaud Obama telling GM's CEO to GTFO. The American people are now investors in the firm, and he only provided the Vaporware of the Chevy Volt (a Hybrid that is practially a myth and won't be available till nearly 2011... a bit slow on the uptake... and the new Prius ALREADY exceeds the stats of the Volt NOW), and all the while Ford has a Hybrid sedan that is BIGGER that gets 44mpg that you can buy...NOW! They haven't provided a decent small car platform, they STILL keep making Hybrid SUV's when they CLEARLY can't be afforded by the middle class working public, nor are they wanted, and GM has YET to come to any kind of deal with the UAW that hasn't sent up another hailstorm of attacks from both sides. Yes, the UAW aren't being fair either, but compromise MUST be reached in these times, and GM should offer the olive branch to at least START the process. Ford's management was alot more flexible with the UAW, and that has proven itself. AND, GM is still clinging to Saturn, Buick and Hummer which are all dead brands. They are going no where yet they insist that there will be "buyers" for them. I think they should've liquidated Hummer and Buick and did what they could to keep Saab under their marque. GM NEEDS a luxury division that is more Euro-Centric than Cadilliac, and Saab was JUST the brand to keep GM's foothold in the UK.

We won't even GO into Chrysler.... They're kinda screwed until Fiat can get their cash into the deal. Once they do that, Chrysler will be able to strengthen their lines with Fiat small cars, elevate the Jeep nameplate and DUMP the SUV market.

Ford has been the ONLY company to present a viable gameplan and has been wiling to think outside of the box, FINALLY allowing their Euro-spec imports that are tiny, quick and miserly on fuel onto US shores, and they have taken bold efforts in engineering and styling that have given us underdogs like the Fusion Hybrid (with stats that even impress me).

I paid tax dollars to the bailout package, and I think I want a voice telling them how they should spend MY money!!! Obama said the obvious: You guys took bailout cash, yet you cannot produce a way to make that money back. You owe us now....so either man up, or get out of the way.

Funny thing is, the CEO is STILL getting over 20million in retirement cash. A car company so corrupt that they can't even fire a guy without losing cash. You KNOW the industry is in shambles.

Oh, and relating Obama to Hitler is just conservative scare tactics. Doesn't make anyone sound any more bright.

I love liberals... they are so open-minded and accepting of others.

The federal government has no business telling any company who they can or cannot have as CEO, just as they have no right using taxpayer monies to prop-up a private corporation. Waggoner should have just told Obama to go F himself and taken GM into bankruptcy proceedings, since that is what is going to happen anyway, unless the feds nationalize it (Socialism, here we come).

I agree. You know AIG already needs more money... Why doesn't Nobama clean house there? Smells crooked to me. I thought Obama was supposed to clean up the old ways, and provide this all saving 'change'??? He is twisting things more than any other president before. GM should have filed bankruptcy. Keep the government out of it.

it was part of the deal, if GM took the money, they knew they need a viable plan in a certain ammount of time. Waggoner didn't follow the rules, and so he got canned. If he didn't want the Feds telling him to take a hike, he shouldn't have taken their money.

When you borrow money from a bank, you agree to their terms. If you fail to follow the terms, they get to do things to you that you may not think are right, (put you out on the street) but agreed to the terms when you took the money.
