What if I have a Republican mailman?
And what if Trump owes him money?!?!?! That means the ballots of yours, the people under your stairs, and the dead guy in the backyard, will all belong to the trashman very soon.

Then mud, paint...
Poly isn't going to seal the seams on the OSB plus paint is cheaper than poly AND you can get a box of joint compound and roll of tape for the money you'll save using drywall.

Just trust me. Purple board is cheaper than OSB but no matter what I tell you, you're going to find any excuse to do whatever you want regardless of it being the better option for cost, labor, and mold/mildew resistance.

Installed, then uninstalled, then reinstalled my transmission after discovering a tiny crack in the flex plate while rotating the flex plate during the torque converter install.

So I'm down to t-case, pinion seals, driveshafts, the random shields and guards I pulled for access, and topping off any fluids.

Got an advertisement in the mail today for a college. The ad stated "Don't rule out [our college] because of our price." (I omitted the college name from the ad.)

What a joke. I rule out many many things because of the price because I cannot afford it. And we know these college loans do not go away. You are stuck with them forever or until you pay them off. Bankruptcy does not clear college loan debts.

What do you want? Free college for everyone? You a socialist or sum thing?
I just warn everyone I know about college debt and to avoid it or get the smallest loan possible and pay it off as soon as possible. Getting a $100,000 college loan for a degree is foolish in most cases.

True story. ^^
My kid got lucky he only has to pay a little over $2000 a year for school. We have more than enough in his college fund account for him. When he gets his masters is when its going to cost him.

A pic of a pile of plywood is pretty boring...will start working on that project this weekend.
I would like to see a picture of the wood grain with a coat of poly on it.

Waiting for UPS to show up with a pile of computer parts, doing a major upgrade form my 8 year old AMD A8 GPU to an AMD Ryzen 7 3800 8 core CPU with water cooling. All new system. 3 new monitors too because these old ones are getting yellow with age...and have been repaired 3 times each...

So you could have/should have put the wood grain stuff on over the backer board.

Seriously....why do people save Sawbucks to spend Benjamins later?

Because contractors with a couple of decades experience are stupid and MaryB is the bestest most skilled and knowledgeable individual on the planet. Haven't you noticed how she always has a one-upper story for everything and her way is the better way?

I replaced a 4-bulb fluorescent fixture in my utility room with a nice looking LED fixture a few weeks ago.

Worked fine until about 10 days ago and now if I leave it on for say 2 hours and turn it off it won't come back on for about 2 more hours. I left it on for about 6 hours a day last week and it wouldn't come back on until late the next day. If I turn it on for 5 minutes then turn it off, it works fine. Baffling to say the least.

I'm gonna give it a few more days to either fix itself or break itself and if it breaks I'll take it back, it was $80 at Lowes. I hate to get rid of it, it looks nice and makes the utility room so bright I could do brain surgery in there.

Ballast is overheating. That's my guess.

I went to Autozone and got a replacement battery for the car and new windshield wipers. Going to have to get new tires and windshield wipers for the other car too. The price of car batteries has gone up since the last time I bought. My replacement battery with a two year warranty was $153.

In the past I have had nothing but problems with Walmart car batteries. They would not even last 18 months before I had to replace them. This last Autozone battery I just replaced lasted in our car about four years.
